Requires a degree in Speech-Language Pathology and an active, unencumbered SLP license in South Carolina. Experience in long-term care is preferred, and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome.

Our smaller size provides a quiet, close-knit environment where teamwork, support, and quality care come first. We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. Our rehab department is focused on helping residents reach their highest level of independence, and we’re looking for someone who shares that mission.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to create individualized care plans and improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform evaluations within 24 hours (or 1 business day) of physician referral Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide therapy services in accordance with physician orders Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in care plan meetings, rehab conferences, and discharge planning Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy programs and techniques Supervise SLPAs and Clinical Fellows (CFY) as applicable Conduct staff in-services and training programs Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility guidelines Qualifications Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Master’s preferred) Active, unencumbered SLP license in South Carolina (required) CFY candidates welcome Experience in long-term care or rehab preferred Strong knowledge of speech, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Why Join Piedmont Post Acute?
