About the role

Perform individual diagnostic evaluation and sign-out of dermatology specimens while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Provide expert consultation to clients and staff and maintain good laboratory practices.

Labcorp is seeking a Dermatopathologist to join our team in Tampa, FL.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday (approx. 8a - 5p)

  • Job Responsibilities
  • Individual diagnostic evaluation and sign-out of dermatology specimens
  • Assure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines/standards
  • Accurate and timely evaluation of specimens tested
  • Assures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies
  • Provide expert consultation as needed with clients and staff, in person, by phone or electronically

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical Degree from an accredited college/university
  • Florida Licensed Physician with Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology
  • Subspecialty Training and Board Certification in Dermatopathology is required
  • Additional Job Standards
  • Experience in high volume hospital / large referral laboratory experience
  • Organized and efficient problem solving and excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO. Requirements

Requires a Medical Degree, Florida Physician License, and Board Certification in Anatomic or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology. Subspecialty Board Certification in Dermatopathology is mandatory.
