Medical Oncology Technician Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) proudly opened its new, state-of-the-art facility in May 2024—an expansive, 100,000+ square foot space nearly twice the size of our original Tinton Falls location. This milestone marks the continuation of over 40 years of dedicated service to our community. Equipped with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. Thoughtful amenities—including feline-only waiting areas, a rehab unit, comfort rooms, and a serene zen garden—reflect our commitment to exceptional care for pets and their families.
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Oncology Technician to join our Oncology service. This unique role combines patient care, scheduling coordination, and clinical support to ensure chemotherapy and oncology appointments run smoothly. Technicians in this position have the opportunity to develop advanced skills in oncology patient management, work closely alongside veterinary oncologists, and contribute to delivering exceptional, empathetic care to patients and their families.
The Medical Oncology Technician plays an integral role in supporting our Oncology service by assisting doctors with all aspects of patient appointments, including initial consultations, rechecks, and bloodwork for patients undergoing chemotherapy. This position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented technician who is comfortable working with both clients and patients during sensitive and emotional visits.
In addition to hands-on technical skills, the technician will help coordinate and oversee the daily flow of the Oncology department—ensuring that appointments run efficiently, patients receive timely and attentive care, and communication between the medical team and clients remains clear and supportive. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates excellent organizational skills, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
