About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant administers physical therapy modalities as directed by a physical therapist to restore function and prevent disability. They also coordinate and supervise responsibilities assigned to physical therapy technicians and participate in departmental operational activities.

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected healthcare provider in Helena, MT to find a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work alongside licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, individualized care that restores function, improves quality of life, and supports patients throughout every stage of recovery. In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact while contributing to department operations, quality improvement initiatives, and a team committed to exceptional patient outcomes.

Schedule

Full-Time What You'll Do Provide physical therapy treatments and therapeutic modalities under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence following injury, illness, or disability Educate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them achieve their highest level of function Coordinate, delegate, and support the work of Physical Therapy Technicians Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, treatment records, and charge entry Participate in departmental operations, performance improvement, and quality improvement initiatives Support department goals through efficient, cost-conscious practices Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety protocols, equipment training, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary care teams to provide exceptional patient-centered care What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current State Physical Therapist Assistant license Current BLS (CPR) certification 3+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience preferred Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills What You Can Expect Practice Settings You'll have the opportunity to work in one or more specialized rehabilitation environments, including: Outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation with post-operative care Adult rehabilitation featuring orthopedic, neurological, oncology, lymphedema, and pelvic health services Pediatric rehabilitation in multidisciplinary and aquatic therapy settings Sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation with access to aquatic therapy and fitness facilities

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an approved school for Physical Therapy Assistants and hold current state licensure and BCLS certification. A minimum of 3 years of experience in physical therapy as an assistant is required.
