Perform laboratory analyses on blood and body fluids using various instruments to assist in medical diagnosis and therapy. Responsibilities span multiple sections including microbiology, chemistry, and transfusion services within a pediatric environment.
Requires a 4-year college degree and a valid California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Clinical Lab Scientist or Public Health Microbiologist license. One to two years of full-time clinical laboratory experience is preferred or required depending on the career level.
This role may have the opportunity to provide coverage across all areas of the laboratory, as needed to support operational demands. Education College Degree - 4 year Consistent with State of California CLS Licensure requirements (required) Licenses and Certifications CLS - Clinical Lab Scientist License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health or or Public Health Microbiologist - CDPH - California Department of Public Health license is required for all levels. Work Experience Minimum one (1) year Clinical laboratory (full-time) (preferred) *Compensation is based on experience and placement within the Clinical Laboratory Scientist career ladder.
