The Telemetry Technician monitors telemetry systems according to hospital policies and responds to equipment alarms. Additionally, they handle medical records, patient call lights, and general clerical tasks.
Candidates must be high school graduates with Telemetry Technician and BLS certifications. Experience as a unit clerk in an acute setting and certifications as an EMT, CNA, or MA are preferred.

Position Title: Telemetry Technician Department: Nursing Reports To: Director of Nursing FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
The Telemetry Technician is responsible for monitoring telemetry system per Sonoma Specialty Hospital policies and procedures and is also responsible for maintaining medical records, assisting with patient call lights, and performing clerical duties such as answering phones, etc.
Competent with the Telemetry monitor system and Telemetry monitor policy. Respond to phone, BP monitoring equipment and Telemetry monitor system alarms.
