• How you’ll make an impact in this role Prepared surgical suites for Labor and Delivery procedures (e.g., C-sections) by meticulously arranging sterile drapes, solutions, and specialized instruments, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Facilitated safe and efficient surgical procedures by anticipating the needs of the obstetric team, handing required instruments to the surgeon, and maintaining organized setups.
• Assisted in seamless preparation, transport, positioning, and draping of patients, prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and privacy in a high-stakes environment.
• Maintained real-time counts and tracking of all instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout complex procedures to prevent retained surgical items and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Partnered with the multidisciplinary L&D team to streamline surgical workflows, contributing to reduced turnaround times and the delivery of high-quality emergency and scheduled obstetric care.
