About the role

The APP trainee will provide supportive care within the cardiac intensive care and step-down units. They will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to progress from a learner to a credentialed provider within six months.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) trainee will function as a learner and in a supportive role in the cardiac intensive care unit and cardiac step-down unit in Wilmington, DE. This provider must work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in all phases of practice. Mentored clinical practice experiences will occur in the acute care setting. The APP Trainee will gain experience within a specialty practice and progress from a learner status to a credentialed member of the Interdisciplinary team within six months of their start date.

The candidate must be a graduate of a pediatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant program. The trainee must attain national certification as a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
