Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs patient care duties.
The LPN provides care based on the Nurse Practice Act and his/her assessed competency utilizing hospital established standards of care and practice.
Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.
Vocational Training Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program Completion of a 30-hour IV Therapy Course for LPNs approved by the Florida Board of Nursing pursuant to Rule 64B9-5.006 Less than one (1) year of training as an LPN Adheres to hospital policies and Florida Nurse Practice Act guidelines in providing patient care Demonstrates effective problem-solving and communication skills with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals Preferred Experience One (1) year of geriatric experience as an LPN Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Required Licensure/Certifications Licensed to practice Practical Nursing in the State of Florida Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Background check required including, Level 2 AHCA, MVR Check, FL Driver’s License, Auto Insurance, ADRD
