The Speech Language Pathologist provides direct patient care by evaluating and treating cognitive linguistic, communication, and swallowing disorders. They are responsible for formulating comprehensive treatment programs and maintaining compliance documentation to maximize functional outcomes.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and a current NYS license and registration. Completion of the Clinical Fellowship year and certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association are also required.
Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders. Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate). Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations. Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards. Participates in initiatives that may include brainstorming or other activities to assist in improving quality or care, productivity, policies and standards. What you will need: Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration Must have completed Clinical Fellowship year Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association Special Per Diem Rate of $50.00/hr Pay Range for Full-Time and Part-Time: $37.60-$47.60 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
