The PET Technologist performs diagnostic PET and hybrid PET/CT scanning procedures using positron emitting radionuclides. They operate sensitive radiation detection equipment under limited supervision to provide high-quality imaging.
Requires an Associate Degree and certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist via ARRT(N) or NMTCB, along with an Ohio state license. Preference is given to candidates with one year of hospital experience and NMTCB-PET specialty certification.
Minimum 1-year previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Preferred at hire that the technologist has successfully passed the NMTCB-PET exam and remain certified in PET specialty by retaking exam every 7 years based on the requirements set forth by the NMTCB Specialty Board. Certification is required within 24 months of hire if not already obtained.
