The Technologist-Surgical I assists the surgical team during operations by maintaining sterile setups and passing items as needed. They also help in preparing the surgical suite, moving patients, and providing intraoperative care.
Candidates must meet specific educational and certification requirements to work as a surgical technologist in Tennessee. Preferred qualifications include ongoing education and BLS certification within a specified timeframe.
Assists surgical team during operation/procedure by arranging, inventorying and maintaining sterile set up for operation, and passes items as needed. Assists in preparation of surgical suite, moving patients, and in cleaning. Provides aid in exposure, homeostasis, and other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out safe operation with optimal results for the patient. Performs other duties as assigned.
