Join the Outpatient Palliative Care Clinic (OPPC) team at Weill Cornell Medicine and help us deliver superior service to our growing community. You will work with outstanding physicians, advance practice providers, social workers and a chaplain in delivering care for a diverse patient population supporting patients and families living with a serious illness.
A Palliative Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care to patients at any stage living with serious or chronic illnesses, focusing on improving quality of life through symptom management, patient education, emotional support, and coordination of care. The RN works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to address physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and goals-of-care needs for patients and families across outpatient, or home-based settings.
Under direction, assists physicians and advance practice providers with patient care, health education/promotion, electronic medical record (EMR) chart management, coordination of patient care and clinical protocols as needed.
Approximately 2 or more years of related work experience as a Registered Nurse.
Extensive experience as a Registered Nurse may be considered in lieu of the BSN.
