Responsible for verifying, dispensing, and monitoring medication therapy for both on-site and remote hospital facilities. Duties include supervising support staff and ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory standards.
Requires a BS or PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited college and a current Illinois pharmacist license. A New Mexico license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Responsible for verification, dispensing and monitoring medication therapy, and providing drug information on-site for Gateway Regional Medical Center and remotely for multiple off-site hospital facilities. Other duties include supervising and directing support personnel, adverse event monitoring, participating in medication use performance improvement activities, and serving as a resource for pharmacy policies and procedures and regulatory compliance. Remote order entry pharmacists may be asked to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge for out of state pharmacist licenses and must maintain licensure in multiple states simultaneously according to remote facility location and state pharmacy regulations.
