The clinician is responsible for conducting intake assessments, providing individual and group therapy, and offering crisis intervention. They will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to manage cases and provide clinical services both in-office and within the community.

  • HourlyJob description : Clinician AB109 Completing intake assessments Providing crisis intervention when indicated Providing individual therapy and group therapy services with focus on improving, maintaining and/or restoring client functioning Providing targeted case management services Work in collaboration with multi-disciplinary treatment team including psychiatrists, therapists, and care coordinators to assist clients in achieving the best possible clinical outcomes. Documentation and charting Providing services in the community when indicated.

  • Education: Masters / Doctorate in mental health, human service field, criminal justice, or psychology preferred.

  • Skills: Demonstrated experience working with adults in the mental health field. Compassion for clients and dedicated to making a difference. Comfort working with a diverse population, including clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Strong written and oral communication skills. Comfort working with clients referred from the criminal justice system. Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment both in the office and in the community. Comfort providing therapeutic interventions in the community (ex. client’s homes). Must work well in a multidisciplinary team. Ability to perform after hours on-call responsibilities. Ability to maintain productivity and documentation standards. Ability to manage time efficiently, organize and prioritize tasks, demonstrate sound judgment, give attention to detail, be flexible, self-driven and motivated. Must have basic computer and typing skills.

  • Skills: Bilingual in Spanish-English. Experience with substance use treatment and/or specialization in co-occurring disorders. Criminal Justice Background. Knowledge of Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health records paperwork Training in evidence based practices (Seeking Safety, CBT, IPT, etc.)

Ability to pass thorough background check. Requirements

Candidates should hold a Master's or Doctorate in a mental health or human services field and may be licensed (LCSW, LMFT, PhD/PsyD) or unlicensed. A valid California driver's license, automobile insurance, and the ability to pass a background check are required.
