Job Summary

Operates imaging equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs imaging procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
  • Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
  • Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
  • Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established protocols/guidelines.
  • Completes documentation as required to comply with policies and procedures.
  • Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Participates in departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
  • Completes assigned goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

DescriptionMinimum RequiredPreferred/Desired Registered by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS),or American Registry of Radiology Technologists ARRT (S), or ARRT (VS), or ARRT (BS), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International CCI RVS; BLS Certification within 14 days of hire; New graduate will obtain required registry within 120 days as required; State license as required
