Responsible for preparing IV solutions, chemotherapy medications, and compounding solutions for critical care and OR areas. The role also involves maintaining stock levels and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the state Board of Pharmacy. Previous experience with IV admixtures and PTCB certification are preferred.
Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions. Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
Education H.S.
