A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and a minimum of two years of experience in HIV-related services is required. Candidates should be proficient in EMR systems and experienced in serving diverse, high-risk populations.
The ADAP Coordinator delivers comprehensive administrative, programmatic, and client-centered support services to individuals receiving HIV care and treatment. Reporting directly to the Operational Director, the coordinator facilitates enrollment and recertification for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and Health Insurance Continuation Program (HICP), strengthens client linkage and retention in care, and ensures compliance with all state, federal, and agency regulations. This position requires exceptional organizational abilities, cultural competence, professional communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing equitable healthcare outcomes for diverse and underserved populations affected by HIV. Coordinate and complete ADAP and HICP applications, eligibility determinations, and recertifications for eligible clients. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and required reporting platforms. Monitor eligibility verification, income documentation, and application processing to ensure compliance with Georgia Department of Public Health requirements. Schedule intake appointments, conduct follow-up outreach, and re-engage clients who miss medical or supportive service appointments. Educate clients regarding HIV prevention, treatment adherence, viral suppression, self-advocacy, and available community resources. Cultivate trusting relationships that promote retention in care and continuity of treatment services. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, outreach staff, and community agencies to strengthen linkage and retention initiatives. Prepare monthly reports, manage administrative documentation, and participate in required trainings, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Uphold HIPAA standards and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information.
Bachelor’s degree in Community Health, Public Health, Human Services, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in HIV counseling, testing, linkage, retention, or treatment services required.
