The Dental Hygienist is responsible for performing licensed hygiene procedures and managing nonsurgical periodontal programs. They focus on educating patients about oral health and maintaining long-term patient care relationships.
Candidates must hold a dental hygiene certification from an accredited school and a current state license. Ability to maintain OSHA, HIPAA, and BLS training is required, with dental software experience preferred.
We are looking for a funergetic, relationship-based Dental Hygienist who is passionate about patient care, education, and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for performing licensed hygiene procedures, educating patients, and supporting the management of the nonsurgical periodontal program as directed by the dentist. Responsibilities: The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for:
Establishing and maintaining continued patient care relationships Verifying and documenting patient health history Educating patients about oral hygiene, oral health, disease prevention, procedures, and services offered Performing clinical hygiene functions, including but not limited to: Exposing and evaluating diagnostic x-rays Taking and recording blood pressure Performing adult and child prophylaxis Providing nonsurgical periodontal therapy Co-assessing possible restorative treatment needs with the doctor Determining patient needs and performing sealant placement, Arestin, and fluoride treatments as appropriate
