The Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, directing, and coordinating patient care within a small 12-bed unit. They will provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families while contributing to a supportive treatment team.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current Registered Nurse License in New York State. Basic Life Support certification is required, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
Low patient ratios! The Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, directing, and coordinating patient care and procedures within a small 12-bed unit in a manner that is efficient, empathetic, timely, and tailored to the age of patients served (ages 45 and up). The Behavioral Health Nurse will provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families and will contribute to the treatment team fostering a supportive and healing environment for the patients being served.
