RN - Radiation Oncology - Preby's Cancer Center Hillcrest

• This is a Full-Time benefited position working Monday-Fridays, 8-hour shifts with outpatients.
• Shifts may vary as needed, but are typically 8am to 4:30pm, staggering to 6pm as needed.
• Position is located at Scripps Mercy San Diego Prebys Cancer Center.

• In this outpatient role, you will provide nursing care to adult patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses receiving radiation therapy.
• You will assist physicians with procedures including IV placement and brachytherapy treatments, while supporting patients throughout their care journey.
• Responsibilities include participating in new patient consultations, weekly on-treatment visits, and follow-up appointments; conducting patient assessments; developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care; and providing patient and family education related to treatment, symptom management, side effects, and ongoing care needs.
• You will collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure exceptional patient care and support.

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certificates

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Radiation therapy and/or oncology experience preferred.
