Job entails assisting the anesthesiology staff within the operating room in order to facilitate patient care.

Responsibilities
1. Assists in Operating Room Setup and Turnover

- Supplies: 4.1 Decontaminates, cleans, and sterilizes echocardiogram transducers, ensuring compliance with clinical sterilization and documentation protocols. 5.

Qualifications
- EDUCATION Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, prefer Associates degree in Biological Sciences.
- Factory approved training in basic trouble shooting for anesthesia machines, physiologic monitors, blood gas machines, and rapid infusers preferred.
- EXPERIENCE Minimum of 12 months as a clinical technician, PCA, CNA,TA, pharmacy technician preferred.
- Operating room experience and technical background is helpful.

- LICENSURE BLS required within 3 months of hire.
- SPECIAL SKILLS Employee must exhibit excellent communication skills.
- Individual must be able to tolerate high stress areas of work. .
- Basic computer skills are required to perform daily tasks in OR applications to include email, RFID equipment tracking system and Epic status board.
- Individual is expected to achieve competence in all required skills after completion of department training program, including passing departmental competencies.
- Employee must possess good interpersonal skills in order to participate as a member of the Perioperative Support staff.
- PHYSICAL DEMAND The working environment is a high stress area.
- The ability to perform tasks of physical endurance and dexterity as required.
- Individual must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, using consistent use of proper body mechanics.
- All duties require pushing, pulling lifting, bending and standing.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Exposure to biohazards and handling of bodily fluids.
