The pediatrician will provide both inpatient hospitalist and outpatient clinic care for children and families in the community. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, coordinating discharge planning, and participating in academic programs.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be licensed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts. Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatrics is required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected hospital system, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. Join an established team Call structure: 15 days of call coverage per month Practice setting: Inpatient Access to Support staff Employed position within a nonprofit health system Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration Provide comprehensive pediatric care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents in the level 2 nursery inpatient setting Attend deliveries and provide newborn assessments, stabilization, and routine nursery care as needed Manage care for normal newborn nursery patients, including admissions, daily rounds, discharge planning, and parent education Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic medical record system About the Facility 150 bed hospital, level 2 nursery unit Serving a population of approximately 130,000 Integrated referral network Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system Why Physicians Choose Ascension Physician-led, collaborative culture Long-term practice stability National network with local autonomy Mission-centered care rooted in service
Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
