The Imaging RN prepares patients for procedures, administers conscious sedation, and monitors patients across various imaging modalities. They are responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care while maintaining safety and infection control measures.
Candidates must hold a current North Carolina or Compact RN license along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Preference is given to those with at least one year of experience in Emergency or Critical Care nursing.
Able to access entire facility; lift and transport patients,supplies and equipment. Demonstrate manual dexterity, hearing acuity, and verbal ability. Displays ability to stand for long periods of time, walking, lifting, bending, and stooping during the majority of the work day while wearing lead apron. Has sufficient endurance to perform tasks over lengthy periods of time. Involves exposure to blood/bodyfluids, hazardous materials, and communicable diseases. Ensure a safe environment by optimizing safety at all times.
Communicates effectively with a wide range of age groups, ethnic, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Work cooperatively with co-workers, volunteers, and other FirstHealth team members to provide optimal quality care. Demonstrates physical assessment skills. Displays effective organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize with accuracy and speed. Illustrates efficient computer skills within service provided. Demonstrates effective problem solving and has ability to develop critical thinking skills. Maintains clinical and professional competency levels required of age-specific populations. When not performing patient care,must be able to anticipate unit needs – including stocking supplies within the unit.
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessaryto perform the essential functions of this position: Current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compactrequired. current BLS and ACLS. prefer at least 1 year of Emergency or Critical Care nursing.
