The Crisis Worker provides direct crisis intervention services via telephone, mobile community outreach, and residential support to help consumers reach treatment goals. Responsibilities include screening calls for the National Suicide Lifeline, performing assessments, and coordinating with community personnel to divert hospitalizations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma with 12 semester credit hours in social sciences, though a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in human services, including one year of direct mental health care, and a valid driver's license are required.

Under the authority of Management, the Crisis Worker assures that all operating procedures and regulations are followed. The Crisis Worker provides direct services to consumers, significant others and collateral resources and assists consumers in reaching goals set in treatment.

Working conditions
This position is set in a residential or community environment. While performing the duties of the job, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, lift, and reach. Must be willing to perform all job-related travel associated with this position.
