Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical operations by preparing the operating room and maintaining sterile equipment. Provide direct patient care during pre-operation and post-operation phases, including positioning and monitoring vital signs.
Must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program with at least one year of experience. BLS certification is required to ensure patient safety and emergency readiness.

Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on cases, but typical shifts are 0630-1500
$32.00 - $39.25 per hour, based on skill and experience level.
Supervision received: Physician and/or Registered Nurse
Surgical technologists, also called scrubs and surgical or operating room technicians, assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Surgical technologists are members of operating room teams, which most commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses.
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Surgical technologists work in clean, well-lighted, cool environments. Must stand for long periods and remain alert during operations. At times may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpleasant sights, odors, and materials.
