Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Albuquerque, NM

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical Surgical (Med Surg) team within a community-based hospital setting. This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse adult patient population. The RN will provide direct care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, supporting recovery, managing acute and chronic illnesses, and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary care team. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions Perform patient assessments, including physical evaluations and ongoing monitoring Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition promptly Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other clinical staff Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols Support admissions, transfers, and discharges Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Med Surg or acute care preferred) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to manage multiple patients in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications
