Performs sample processing, exempt screening, and monitoring tests according to regulatory standards. Responsible for performing venipunctures and assisting technical staff with non-clinical tasks.
Requires a high school diploma or GED. While no experience is required, phlebotomy certification and experience in a clinical laboratory setting are preferred.
Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
