Job description

PT - Direct Support Professional (DSP) Support Services/ Baltimore Rate of Pay $22/hr
We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. Support a young man in the Owings Mills area with activities at home and in the community. Work on skills to increase independence at home and in the community. Attend social groups and clubs, fun and skill based activities including: cooking, movies, exercise, meeting friends, etc. Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life. This position is: M/T/W/TH 5p-8p Sat 12p-4p The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.

Some lift and transfer may be required. Paid training, including CPR/First Aid, and opportunities to obtain Med Tech Certification! DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by: Assisting with participation and exploration of the community Cultivating and expanding independent living skills Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals. Eligible candidates must have a high school degree/GED and a current driver’s license with less than three points on the driving record. Rate of pay *$22/hr.
Regular Base rate is $22/hr. There is an additional $1/hr. shift differential for weekend shifts. ($22 +$1=$23/hr.)
