Alton Memorial Hospital has a part-time day/Evning Lab Associate I opportunity. Looking for a lab tech with phlebotomy experience to work in a hospital setting. Overview

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience No Experience Supervisor Experience No Experience Preferred Requirements Experience <2 years Supervisor Experience < 2 years Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Phlebotomy
