Summary: The Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult and/or family medicine patients in a collaborative care center setting. This role emphasizes preventive care, chronic condition management, and whole-person health—without productivity quotas tied to volume. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality primary care services, including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions Build trusted, long-term relationships with patients through longer appointment times Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team (nurses, care guides, behavioral health, pharmacists) Utilize data and evidence-based guidelines to improve outcomes and patient experience Participate in care coordination, population health initiatives, and quality improvement efforts Document care accurately and efficiently using the electronic health record (EHR) Support Spira Care’s mission, values, and patient-first culture
MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active or eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and/or Kansas DEA license (or ability to obtain) BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Maintain licensures and certifications throughout employment. Passion for value-based care and team-based practice Strong communication skills and a patient-centered mindset Spira Care has specific vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.
