Must possess a Master's Degree in counseling, social work, or psychology and hold a current license or associate license (LCSW/A, LCMHC/A). A valid driver's license is also required.
We are seeking a full-time Family Centered Treatment Therapist to provide community-based/in-home individual and family therapy for children, youth, adolescents, adults, and their families. The person in this position will work with clients and families/natural supports to assess their strengths and needs, assisting families with planning, developing, implementing, and assessing treatment and ancillary services, recommending the types of treatment modalities needed and providing these services directly or by referral. Duties may also include maintaining oversight of services provided within and outside the agency, acting as an advocate for the client and family/natural supports in the community and developing/evaluating the person-centered plan with the client and team to ensure that services are being delivered and are appropriate to the needs of the client and family/natural supports. Therapists providing Family Centered Treatment will have an average caseload of 4 to 6 youth and/or families per clinician. A licensed professional will supervise all FCT Therapists. Create, develop, monitor, revise, and implement the client’s Person-Centered Plan. Provide clinical guidance and/or oversight in the development of crisis plans and transition plans when clients move in and out of services. Provide individual, family or group therapy to clients and their families/natural supports based on their needs, diagnoses, and best evidence-based practices. Provide written documentation as required. This will include treatment notes, goals and plans for the medical record (e.g., service notes, person-centered plan) Be available to respond as needed to clients and co-workers 24/7/365. Direct Services Work to implement therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, psycho-educational activities and other best evidence-based practice therapies. Work with clients, families, natural supports and collateral agencies in reviewing, applying and achieving goals as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan. Provide clinical leadership to child and family teams. Provide parent/guardian/natural support training that will aid persons interacting with the client in dealing more effectively with the client. Assist in all service delivery as formally planned with the clinical team. This description outlines the general scope and level of work for this role.
