The clinician provides psychosocial support, clinical assessments, and counseling to patients within Primary Care Clinics. Responsibilities also include managing cases and facilitating care transitions for patients.
Requires a Master's degree in Counseling or a similar field and a valid LPC, LCSW, or Behavioral Health license in Colorado. BLS certification is required, and experience in healthcare settings or crisis management is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements Master’s degree in Counseling, or a substantially similar field of study. Unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Colorado OR Behavioral Health Licensed Professional Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Crisis experience preferred. At least 5 years of experience as a social worker/counselor in a healthcare setting preferred. We will consider equivalent combinations of experience and education for certain jobs. Position Overview: The Behavioral Health Licensed Professional operates as an independently licensed behavioral health clinician to provide psychosocial support including clinical assessment, counseling, case management and care transitions to patients of Aspen Valley Hospital’s Primary Care Clinics.
