Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical operations by preparing sterile fields and passing instruments. Maintain medical equipment, perform safety checks, and assist with patient transfer and room restocking post-procedure.
Candidates must be in the process of completing an accredited surgical technologist program and obtain BLS certification within six months. 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field may be accepted.

Surgical technologists, also called scrubs and surgical or operating room technicians, assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Surgical technologists are members of operating room teams, which most commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses.
Surgical technologists work in clean, well-lighted, well-ventilated environments. Must stand for long periods and remain alert during operations. At times may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpleasant sights, odors, and materials.
