The Pharmacist is responsible for interpreting, filling, and dispensing medications while providing essential patient education and pharmaceutical supplies. They perform therapeutic drug monitoring and maintain secure medication stocks across various hospital facilities.
Candidates must be a graduate of an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school and hold a current Registered Pharmacist license from the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy. Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred, and de-escalation training must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Job Description: Summary
Position Overview: The Pharmacist interprets, fills and dispenses medications; provides patient education material and other pharmaceutical supplies following standard procedures and guidelines to fill prescriptions. He/She uses pharmaceutical expertise for all ages of patients; assists in maintaining and routinely inspecting an adequate, secure and properly stored stock of medications and supplies; performs therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM); and, Sub Acute Care functions. The Pharmacist performs other clinical and non-clinical duties as required. Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees. Graduate from a School of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education required.
Must be currently licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy. Controlled substance registration required.
Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
