Opportunity Information Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a supplemental (part time) Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their dynamic Walk-In Care team in Vacaville, CA Key Responsibilities Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with minor acute illnesses and injuries, following established clinical protocols.
Provide preventive health services such as immunizations (including flu and COVID‑19) and wellness screenings.
Conduct sport and camp physicals.
Perform diagnostic exams and manage treatment plans for conditions such as colds, sinus or ear infections, UTIs (12+ female), sprains, rashes, poison oak, insect bites, eczema, and acne.
Educate patients on self-care and when escalation of care is needed.
Utilize Epic EHR and deliver After‑Visit Summaries; coordinate follow-up and updates with referring clinicians or primary care providers, especially within the Sutter network.
Maintain compliance with Sutter Walk‑In Care protocols, under oversight of a medical director.
Valid California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care, urgent care, family medicine, or similar setting. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced walk‑in clinic environment.
