Provide direct clinical support to dentists and hygienists by preparing instruments, assisting during procedures, and managing patient records. Perform technical tasks such as taking radiographs, applying topical anesthetics, and maintaining a sterile operating environment.
Requires a high school diploma and either one year of dental assisting experience or graduation from an ADA accredited program. Must obtain specific Oregon certifications for radiation, sealants, and expanded functions, as well as Basic Life Support.
Provide direct support to dentists, hygienists, denturists and other provider personnel in the delivery of dental care and service within a Kaiser Permanente dental office.
Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection control equipment.
