The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating total nursing care for cardiac patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation. They must monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate medical records to ensure high-quality care and safety.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program with an unencumbered Arkansas RN or Radiology Technologist license and CPR certification. ACLS and annual dysrhythmia certifications are required, with previous cardiovascular experience preferred.
The role of the Department Registered Nurse reports to the Cardiovascular Services Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the total nursing care of assigned patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation. This position assists in achieving patient quality of care, national patient safety, regulatory agency, and budgetary goals. Essential Position Responsibilities Perform a comprehensive and accurate patient assessment using evidence-based assessment tools Provide nursing care according to plan and undertakes clinical practice skills in a competent and safe manner Identify changes in patient condition and reports to appropriate providers in a timely manner Initiate and monitor care that patients receive Maintain patients’ medical records through complete and accurate documentation Evaluate patient needs and communicates to care team as appropriate Qualifications Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program Licensure and Certifications: Arkansas Registered Nurse or Radiology Technologist License & CPR, required. ACLS within 90 days of hire, required. Annual dysrhythmia, required.
Previous experience in an cardiovascular services setting, preferred.
