RN - Endoscopy - Casual status - La Jolla

• This is a Casual status also known as Per Diem RN position located at Scripps Memorial La Jolla in the brand new north tower.
• The shift is a 8 hour day shift and the start time would fall between 0630-0900 and vary throughout the week.
• There is call rotation weekday/weekend/holiday call, and overnight call.
• In a 4 week schedule period, casual employees are required to work once per week with 2 call shifts per schedule period.
• Additional call is available if you want more shifts.
• For the training period 2-3 shifts per week would be ideal, but we are flexible with availability.

• Responsibilities include: provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice.
• Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
• The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Qualifications

· Minimum one (1) year RN experience · Active California RN license · BLS, Healthcare Provider Certifications through American Heart Association · Must be able to speak, read and following instructions in English. · Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred Qualifications

· BA in Nursing · Previous RN Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred · Pre-OP/Post Op, IR/Cath/OR/moderate sedation experience is preferred
