The Family Physician with Obstetrics is a member of a cross-disciplinary team that includes health care providers, medical assistants, nurses, behavioral health providers, and other support staff. The Family Physician supports the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by providing primary care to patients of all ages and genders.
Provides primary care for MCHCC patients in clinic Provides OB and newborn care for MCHCC patients both in the clinic and at Goshen Hospital Provides clinical leadership for the care team in which they are located Shares in call for both OB and primary care patients with other physicians at MCHCC and at Goshen Hospital Serves as a collaborating physician on collaborative practice agreements for advance practice providers Utilizes EMR effectively in patient care Utilizes multiple resources for MCHCC communication Utilizes multiple resources for Goshen Hospital communication Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned This description does not cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities
Required Skills and Abilities: Trauma-informed care approach preferred; training supported Motivational Interviewing training preferred; training supported Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills
Physician’s license to practice in the State of Indiana or ability to obtain licensure required DEA registration required State of Indiana license to prescribe controlled substances (CSR) Proof of residency completion with board eligibility and board certification required BLS required
