The Nursing Attendant performs various patient care duties and assists with activities of daily living under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. They are responsible for maintaining the environment, equipment, and supplies while supporting the treatment of behavioral health patients.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a Nursing Attendant certification. Previous experience as a nursing attendant is required, with a preference for experience in behavioral health or substance use disorders.
Under the direction and guidance of the Registered Nurse, the Nursing Attendant performs a variety of patient care duties and tasks related to activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care and maintains the environment, equipment and supplies. The CNA, as part of the Psychiatric team, plays an integral part in the treatment and management of the Behavioral Health patient
