The Speech Pathologist performs assessments and therapeutic interventions for routine patient populations, supporting team efforts through departmental tasks and problem-solving. This role involves planning and executing treatment, developing goals, performing patient education, and reporting at conferences for patients with mild to moderately complex communication and swallowing disorders.
Required qualifications include a Master's Degree from an ASHA accredited program in Speech and Language Pathology, licensure eligibility in Virginia, and ASHA CCC or CFY candidacy. Candidates should have experience with neurogenic, motor speech, linguistic/cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders, including performing swallow studies.
