X‑Ray Technologist – Outpatient Radiology Department
The X‑ray Technologist is responsible for performing high‑quality diagnostic radiographic exams in a fast‑paced outpatient setting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic exams — Produce high‑quality X‑ray images following established protocols and ALARA principles.
Prepare and position patients — Ensure proper alignment, comfort, and safety for each exam.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment — Conduct daily QA/QC checks and report equipment issues promptly.
Verify patient identity and orders — Confirm exam accuracy and document required clinical information.
Ensure radiation safety — Follow shielding, exposure, and regulatory guidelines for patients and staff.
Support outpatient workflow — Assist with scheduling, room turnover, and exam prioritization.
Provide compassionate patient care — Educate patients, address concerns, and maintain a professional, calming environment.
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams — Communicate findings, technical issues, and exam details as needed.
Requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current ARRT(R) certification, Texas MRT licensure, and BLS certification. A minimum of one year of clinical radiography experience is required, with outpatient experience preferred.
