Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire

• Current RN license in Virginia Current license to practice in specialty area (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist-CRNA) in Virginia Current CRNA certification by the National Board on Certification/Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists Licensure,

• Requirements for continued employment: Current RN License in Virginia Current license in Virginia to practice in specialty area (CRNA) Complete 40 CEU’s every 2 years Credentialing in accordance with medical staff by-laws for specific job title

• PREFERRED: Academic health care experience One (1) year within the specialty practice area
• Education/training
• REQUIRED: Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited program specific to area of practice
• *Applicants with current advanced practice licensure may be within one semester of graduation from obtaining a MSN Degree or higher, which must be completed within six months of hire to continue employment.
