Radiology Technicians

About the Role

• As a Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic imaging examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
• Your expertise in operating radiologic equipment will ensure high-quality images are produced while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• You will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and positioning them correctly to capture accurate images.
• Additionally, you will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images and ensure proper documentation.
• Your work directly contributes to effective patient care and the overall success of the medical facility.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist as required by the state or country of practice.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Strong understanding of radiologic safety and radiation protection principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced imaging modalities such as CT or MRI.
• Additional certifications such as ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) specialty certifications.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and digital imaging software.
• Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and fluoroscopy.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Position patients accurately to obtain the best possible images while minimizing exposure to radiation.
• Review images for quality and clarity, and assist radiologists by providing necessary technical information.
