• Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring a Full Time Patient Care Technician - PRE-OP/PACU! Patient Care Tech (PCT), Preop/PACU Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center - Woodbridge, VA ~Full Time & Days~
• Scheduled weekly hours: 36
• Education: HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (REQUIRED) (And)/REQUIRED)
• One of the following programs is acceptable for education: Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School, Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic, or current student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of a (RN, LPN, RT or PT) or current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.
• Certifications/Licensure: AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Education

• One year of health care experience preferred. Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center’s Emergency Department is a 37-bed facility that sees a wide range of acute and emergent diagnoses. Recently designated as a Level III Trauma Center, we see a multitude of traumatic injuries that require emergent stabilization.
