Unit

Our CVOR is the heart of innovation at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.

We specialize in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries for both adult and pediatric patients.

As a high-volume advanced heart failure center, we perform a high volume of LVAD, mechanical circulatory support and transplant procedures, offering nurses unparalleled experience in advanced surgical care.

We are also a regional leader in pediatric cardiac surgery, providing life-saving interventions for our youngest patients.

In addition, our team handles complex vascular and thoracic cases, giving nurses a diverse and enriching skill set.

Requirements

Requires a nursing degree, a valid RN license, and BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of CVOR scrub experience is required for the role.

We’re Looking For: · Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

· Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

· Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

· Previous Cardiovascular Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position

What You’ll Do

· As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

· Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, which is distinguished throughout the Southeastern United States for its excellent patient care and medical expertise. CMC serves as the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center, is Magnet-designated, and also an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. We also serve as one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a satellite for the medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill.
