Responsibilities

• Outpatient Program Therapist Full Time The Outpatient Program Therapist provides clinical social services and therapeutic treatment skills to enable patients to achieve their optimal level of emotional and behavioral health.
• The Outpatient Program Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/ case management services, making referrals, crisis intervention and acting as a liaison with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
• Via Linda Behavioral Hospital, an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of outpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area.

Qualifications

• Skills / Requirements A master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a closely related behavioral health field and two years of professional counseling experience in a substance abuse or mental health treatment program OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of full-time behavioral health experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
• A combination of education, licensure and experience and/ or student internship hours may be considered.
• Licensure issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners to engage in the practice of behavioral health in Arizona.
• LAC, LPC, LMSW or LCSW Required.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
