About the role

Responsible for the coordination and direct care of patients in the Urgent Care Center, including assessing and evaluating physical, psychological, and emotional needs. The role involves monitoring national standards of care and responding to changes in patient conditions.

Registered Nurse This is a professional position responsible for the coordination and direct care of patients receiving care in the Urgent Care Center at Cayuga Medical Center. This position will be responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate services provided for all patients. These responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs. This position will promote quality patient care by establishing and monitoring national standards of care.

  • Performs and documents an accurate assessment on each assigned patient within established standard of care Identifies a patient's immediate needs on admission Assures patient knowledge of Advance Directives and Patient Rights Assessment of patient's discharge needs are completed on admission Responds appropriately to changes in patient condition Anticipates patient needs based on accurate assessment

  • Physical: Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.

Pay Range Disclosure

$35.63 to $44.18 per hour

Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a current NYS Registered Nursing License. BLS and ACLS certifications are required prior to the completion of orientation.
