Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) Department: Radiology Reports To: Interventional Radiology Manager Position Overview: The Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care before, during, and after radiological procedures. This role involves assessing patient needs, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process. Key Responsibilities: 1. Patient Assessment: 2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical history and current health status. 3. Evaluate patients' emotional and physical needs prior to procedures. 4. Preparation for Procedures: 5. Prepare patients for various imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays, CT scans, MRIs). 6. Educate patients and families about the procedures and any necessary preparations. 7. Monitoring and Care: 8. Monitor patients’ vital signs and reactions during procedures. 9. Administer medications and contrast agents as prescribed. 10.
